Thank you, thank you to all the many wonderful volunteers who made this event such a success!!! Our volunteers made the day easy and a joy. We made some money and had a fun, good time.
It truly is amazing the support that the Library has in our dear community.
As always, the Library aims to please. Please bring forward any suggestions and ideas for improvement.
Summer Reading Club
Children of all ages are invited to join the Summer Reading Club at the Library. Check out the website too
Story Time
The Librarian will offer Story Time at Family Fun in the Park, beginning Wednesday July 14th at 1 p.m. Meet at the Gazebo.
One Book One Kootenay
One Book One Kootenay is a region wide book club which celebrates Kootenay authors. Three books have been chosen for a short list and one will be chosen in September. Look for the display at the library. And check out the website.
Would you like help setting up your library account?
When you set up an account, you can renew and reserve items from your home computer. There is a pamphlet with directions, and you can make a reservation for individual help. To make an appointment, please phone the library during open hours---265-3363.
Libraries Change Lives
The British Columbia Library Trustees Association is asking for stories about how libraries have changed lives. Everyone is invited to check out the website www.librarieschangelives.ca and add their stories.
Searching the collection online
You can now search our collection online, access your library account, renew, reserve and more. Access your account by using your library barcode number as your username; your password is the last four digits of your phone number. You can change your username and password when you logon for the first time. Enter your email address to receive notices about due dates before your items are due, when an item you have reserved is in, etc.
Click Catalogue and check it out.

Click Outlook Online . If you find a title you want to order, click on the title, click "Request this Item" and then on the form type in your name,use your library card for a password and type in your telephone number and email address. Then click on submit. Please note: There is a limit of 3 requests. Libraries only lend books--not audiobooks or movies--and the books must have been published at least a year ago.
